Twitteriffic

No, I’m not just making up words. I just started using Twitter and the Twitteriffic app on the iPhone. I really think Twitter can solve the (my) blogging problem. That is, the “silent blog” aspect of Jay & Silent Blog.

I have a very difficult time setting aside time to collect my thoughts and compose blog posts - especially for just day-to-day type stuff. With Twitter, I can make several small (tiny) posts throughout the day with negligible impact to my schedule. It’s kind of like micro-blogging or incremental blogging. I’m sure there’s a name or buzzword to describe it, but I’m not feeling google’y. Please drop your knowledge like it’s hot if you’ve got the right vernacular.

I’m giving it a shot. If it works out, I’ll keep the blog around for longer stories about my travels, life, etc.

About

Jay & Silent Blog (”JSB” - because who doesn’t like a good acronym?) is the personal website of Jay Benfield. (And because I am Jay, I will hereinafter cease with the third-person silliness.) I am a thirty-two year-old Michigan-native living in northern Virginia with my wife and four kids. I work as a Network Architect with a large government agency and as the Principal of my company, Mediavangelist. Since the former can’t be discussed and the latter will soon be sufficiently discussed elsewhere, you’ll find a little bit of everything else on JSB.
