Who turned out the lights?

The debut of the second most important show on television (based upon my highly subjective and ever-changing algorithms) and *POOF* the power goes out. The TV dies, the TiVo dies, the lights die and the smoke detector in our living room starts beeping because it lacks a back-up battery. Within moments I corrected the smoke detector but unfortunately I didn’t have the same influence over the power-grid.

Our neighborhood was dark, not a light to be seen. After calling the power company and sitting in the dark a few hopeful minutes, we gave up and went to bed. Power was restored around 12:30am.

Friends, delete not this episode on thine DVR! I may be calling upon you for a favor… :-)
