Ultra-Mega-Nanny

It’s unfortunate that the title “Super-Nanny” is taken because that’s what I really wanted to name this post. But Ultra-Mega-Nanny (”UMN”) might be more appropriate anyway.

Last week marked our UMN’s first full week with our kids. After our original nanny went MIA, I was much less than enthusiastic about doing more searching. She was someone that I’d spoken to on the first go-around of NannyHunt ‘06, but she accepted another position before we could have a formal interview. Long story short, things worked out for her to come care for our little people.

Our hopes and expectations have been so far exceeded. She is spectacular with the kids, she’s on time or early every day, she tidies up around the house. All eleventy of the children have nothing but good things to say about her. What a relief!

The whole household employee thing has been quite a learning experience. If anyone has any questions about doing this in Virginia, I’ve done a ton of research and would be happy to share the info.
