“They told you your arm wasn’t broken?”

Left proximal humerus fracture.

Allison followed up with an orthopedist today and it turns out she does in fact have a broken arm. The doctor was appalled at the ER’s blatent misdiagnosis. The orthopedist immediately saw the break. He proceeded to do additional x-ray’s to confirm and sure enough, it was plain as day. The fracture is by no means hairline and is fairly long, running vertically.

She is out of commission for the next 6 weeks per the doctor’s (the one with operational eyes and functional brain) orders.

In our short time here we’ve had plenty of maddening situations with our local hospital. But you’d think an ER could handle a broken bone. This seals it, I have no faith in those jokers. Ridiculous.

What can be done in this situation with regard to the hospital other than sending them a nasty-gram via certified mail?
