What’s new?
Pollen is evil. Allergies have really been kicking my butt this week. I’m quite sure that at any moment my head could just explode.
Historically, I’ve not really had problems with allergies. Being a product of the North, I think my body freaks out in the presence of the cedar variety, which according to the weather.com PollenCast is at high levels.

We loaded up the family and went to a Bible Study at my friend Curtis’ house last Thursday. It was a good time. We were planning on going back tonight, but due to the aforementioned attack of the Jayhistamines, I decided to stay home. With the constant sniffling, sneezing, coughing, and the head that could go kaboom at any time, I thought it would be best.

Our search for a new church continues. We’re all very eager to find a place to call home and get to work. We went to a good church service on Sunday, the people were really nice.

I need to buy a riding lawnmower - and soon! Our new house is on just over 1 acre, which is a lot of grass to mow with a walk-behind mower. I’ve been doing all kinds of tractor research and have consulted my dad (i.e., tractor afficionado). I hope to pick one up this weekend.

Me, Curtis and Brian have been carpooling on and off the past couple weeks. My schedule has changed a bit. I’m now trying to get on the road by 5:30a. It’s nice getting a jump on the day, but it’s been a little challenging getting in the new groove.

Heather, wife of my friend who wears pink shirts, has been contributing to the delinquency of my spouse. She has lined up tickets to not one, but two country concerts this summer. Ick. The good news is that I don’t have to go.
I’m just holding out for the Led Zeppelin reunion tour that is rumored to be coming.
. . . . .
I went in halfsies on a coffee order from Schuil’s Coffee Co. in Grand Rapids, MI with Brian. Schuils has a coffee known as White Heather, which Brian accurately describes as liquid heaven. At this point in my CoffeeQuest, it is hands-down my favorite brew. I have a six pound bag! (And there was much rejoicing.)

Nose-picking seems to be on the rise amongst I-95 commuters. It’s really getting out of control. It’s rare that you glance over at a passer-by and they don’t have their finger buried in their nostril. Gross people, come on.
