Baaah, welcome to the, baaah, fold!
Seriously, isn’t that the most elegant “appliance” you have ever used? I love mine.
Baaaah, thanks, baaaah.
I had some difficulty with the install, actually. I set it up originally to serve wireless and it only worked part of the time. All would be well for a few minutes and then I would lose connection to it for quite some time. The initial Time Machine backup hit about 12 GB and then died. I ended up doing several factory resests of the Time Capsule trying to find the right combination.
After tinkering with various setups, I ended up just connecting it via Ethernet and not using any of the Airport features. It’s been totally solid. Quite ponderous.
I also connected my Western Digital MyBook to the USB interface of the Time Capsule. It worked like a champ.
Now that it’s setup and humming along, it’s a beautiful thing!
Are you using the Airport functionality?

Jay & Silent Blog (”JSB” - because who doesn’t like a good acronym?) is the personal website of Jay Benfield. (And because I am Jay, I will hereinafter cease with the third-person silliness.) I am a thirty-two year-old Michigan-native living in northern Virginia with my wife and four kids. I work as a Network Architect with a large government agency and as the Principal of my company, Mediavangelist. Since the former can’t be discussed and the latter will soon be sufficiently discussed elsewhere, you’ll find a little bit of everything else on JSB.
